Subject: Public Comment - Can San Mateo County get one catalog for all the recreation departments in San Mateo County with activities at each one? Who in the county can I suggest this to? Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2026 10:08:33 AM
Can San Mateo County get one catalog for all the recreation departments in San Mateo County with activities at each one? There is no central catalog. You have to go to all the cities in San Mateo County to compile what is compiled in one catalog in San Francisco County. The catalog for San Francisco County is 87 pages but it covers the entire county. This would be easy for a computer person to do this. It is so much more organized to be in one catalog.
Who do I take this suggestion to in San Mateo County? It is so much easier and organized. This is a great model that San Francisco County has.
I picked up a catalog (87 pages) for Winter 2026 San Francisco Recreation and Parks for San Francisco County. It was so well organized. It listed “Activities by Location” on page 65-85 alphabetically.
SENIORS - Pages 55-64. Page 55 listed activities for seniors at all the recreation departments throughout the County of San Francisco.
Arts & Crafts - pages 55-56
Visual Arts - pages 56-57
The dancing classes alone for seniors in County of San Francisco are numerous. All "senior classes" are free in San Francisco.

Subject: Request for more lights in SB Park in the evening Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2026 11:11:16 AM
Hello,
I wanted to request for more lights to be left on at San Bruno Park in the evening after the sun has set. Perhaps from 5:45pm - 8pm. The front of the baseball field is decently lit but the back of the baseball field and tennis court area are very dark and spooky. It would be so nice if we could walk our dogs or walk laps in the park in the evening during the winter months.
I appreciate the city taking time to consider this request! Thank you,
Jacquelyn Castellanos
