Dear Mr. Medina,
It was great meeting you today! I appreciate the chance to get to know you in person and discuss our concerns for the neighborhood.

As we discussed, two of my priorities are permit parking for residents

and stop signs along Kains between El Camino and San Mateo Ave.

Since the paid parking went into effect, it has become impossible to park on our own street because people park here and walk to San Mateo Ave to avoid paying for parking. Permit parking for residents would help us park on our own street AND raise income from the paid parking as fewer people evade it. I’d propose 1-2 hr limits within the residential parking zones and that residents should not be charged for their parking permits. Residents should get 2 permit stickers and 1-2 guest permit hang tags for when guests come to visit or they need to temporarily use a different car (repairs, new car, etc).

Regarding the stop signs, with people parking so close to the intersection it has become impossible to see cross traffic before your car is IN the intersection which is very unsafe. Four way stops would be very helpful in this area.

Again, it was great to meet you today, and thank you for your service!
Becca Levitte
