A Special Meeting of the San Clemente City Council was called to order by Mayor James on January 24, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the San Clemente Community Center Auditorium, located at 100 N. Calle Seville, San Clemente.

City Attorney Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance.
1. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Safety Issues Regarding San Gorgonio Community Park
Ruth Martin, San Clemente, raised concerns with Beaches, Parks and Recreation scheduling activities at San Gorgonio Park when those activities are going to exceed available parking, which causes overflow traffic to residential surrounding streets and causes families to walk in the middle of the street to get to the park; urged that activities be scheduled to ensure that parking demand can be accommodated at the park.
2. WAIVER TO READING IN FULL OF ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES
MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER WARD, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM
DUNCAN, CARRIED 4-0 (COUNCILMEMBER FERGUSON ABSENT), to waive reading in full of all Resolutions and Ordinances.

DUNCAN, CARIED 4-0 (COUNCILMEMBER FERGUSON ABSENT), to recess to Closed Session at 6:04 p.m., to discuss the following:

Council reconvened at 7:01 p.m. , with all members present, except Councilmember Ferguson.

City Attorney Smith reported that no reportable action was taken during this evening's Closed Session.

MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER KNOBLOCK, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM DUNCAN, CARRIED 4-0 (COUNCILMEMBER FERGUSON ABSENT), to adjourn at 7:02 p.m. The next Regular Council Meeting is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2022. Closed Session items will be considered at 5:00 p.m. and the Regular Business Meeting will commence at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Community Center Auditorium, located at 100 N. Calle Seville, San Clemente.
