A Special Meeting of the San Clemente City Council was called to order by Mayor James on August 6, 2022 at 11 :03 a.m. in the San Clemente Community Center Auditorium, located at 100 N. Calle Seville, San Clemente.

Warren Vidrine spoke on the United States motto and the separation of church and state.
Councilmember Ethics
Brad Malamud commented on Councilmember opinions, ethics, and the use of City letterhead by Mayor Pro Tern Duncan.
Martina (no last name provided) spoke on the agenda and noticing of the City Council Minutes - Special City Council Meeting of August 6, 2022 August 6, 2022 Special City Council Meeting and the reinstatement of a Councilmember ethics policy.
Pickleball at San Gorgonio
Concerned Citizen, San Clemente, presented a PowerPoint on Civil Code 3480.

2. WAIVER TO READING IN FULL OF ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES
MOTION BY MAYOR JAMES, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM DUNCAN,
CARRIED 4-0 (COUNCILMEMBER FERGUSON ABSENT), to waive reading in full of all Resolutions and Ordinances.
3. Consideration of Removing Sanctuary for Life City Resolution from the August 16, 2022 City Council Meeting.

MOTION BY MAYOR PRO TEM DUNCAN, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER KNOBLOCK, CARRIED 4-0 (COUNCILMEMBER FERGUSON ABSENT), to adjourn at 1 :36 p.m. The next Regular Meeting will be held on August 16, 2022.
Part 1 of the Business Meeting will commence at 5:00 p.m. and Closed Session will begin at 6:00 p.m. Part 2 of the Business Meeting will commence at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting will take place in the Community Center Auditorium, located at 100 N. Calle Seville, San Clemente.
