CALL TO ORDER
Chair Crandell called the Study Session of the Planning Commission of the City of San Clemente to order at 5:04 p.m. The meeting was offered in person at The City of San Clemente Community Center Auditorium, located at 100 Calle Seville, San Clemente California, and also via live stream from the City’s YouTube Channel or live on Cox Channel 854.

Legal Best Practices (BBK)
Hong Dao Nguyen, with Best, Best and Krieger, narrated a PowerPoint Presentation entitled, “Planning Commission Training,” dated August 3, 2022. A copy of the Presentation in on file in Planning Division. While summarizing Legal Best Practices for Planning Commissioners, she discussed and defined pertinent topics such as The Brown Act, financial conflicts of interest, discussion of the various laws that regulate meetings, social media updates, guidelines for disqualifications, due process principles, motion & debate rules to encourage streamlining, application of findings, and other topics of interest. She encouraged the Commissioners to contact her with any questions they may have.
