RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER AND/OR UTILITIES DIRECTOR AS THE CITY’S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE(S) TO OBTAIN FEDERAL AND STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WHEREAS, in order to apply for Public Disaster Assistance from both Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), the City Council is required to designate one or more representatives to serve on the City’s behalf.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City of San Clemente City Manager, Public Works Director/City Engineer and Utilities Director (the “City Agents”) are hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of San Clemente, a public entity each established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it with the California’s Office of Emergency Services for the purposes of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
Section 2. That the City of San Clemente, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorized its agent(s) to provide to the California’s Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements require.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
