The City Clerk is the local official for elections, the Public Records Act, the Political Reform Act, and the Brown Act. In my current role as Legislative Administrator, I oversee the daily operations of the City Clerk Division for the City of San Clemente, and I believe that my current position and experience make me the right fit for City Clerk.

8. Please explain any experience that you have had in community, governmental, charitable or educational affairs.

I have been employed by the City of San Clemente for 16 years and have served in capacities in the City Manager's office and the City Clerk division. I have extensive knowledge and experience as it relates to the City Clerk division including public records requests, the Brown Act, elections and legal requirements relating to posting of agendas, noticing of Public Hearings and introduction and adoptions of ordinances.
I am an active member of the City Clerk's Association of California, I attend and participate in the League of California Cities Conferences, and as part of my duties as Legislative Administrator, I attend all City Council meetings, and meetings of City Commissions and Committees as needed. I've also attended Rotary meetings and events as time allows.
I currently attend all City Council meetings, so there will be no scheduling challenges.
In addition to my "on-the-job experience", I think it is important to note that I am a life long San Clemente resident, and because of that, I have a passion for doing what is best for the City and its residents. I have a vested interest in continuing to keep San Clemente the best place to live, work and play. I feel it is important to provide the best customer service to residents and will continue to do so in my role as City Clerk.
