RE: Support for Assembly Bill 882 – Coastal resources: State Coastal Conservancy: Advance payments.
The City of San Clemente supports Assembly Bill 882 to authorize the state Coastal Conservancy to begin advanced payments of grant funding to awardees and recipients.
AB 882 allows advanced payments of grant funding to local communities, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to implement multi‐benefit projects to protect coastal resources. The cash flow needed for a fully reimbursable grant can be especially burdensome for small, community based non‐profit grantees.
