Please explain why you would like to serve on the Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission.
I would like to serve on the Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission to contribute my skills and experience to improving the quality of life for all San Clemente residents and preserve our natural resources for generations to come.
Please explain how your background and experience would contribute to the Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission.
I am looking forward to contributing my leadship skills that I have developed over the past ten years as cofounder and a managing partner of ETN Medical Infusion, a medical clinic in Orange County with 25 employees and three locations, to ensure responsible, creative development and preservation. Through my professional and philanthropic experience, I look forward to leveraging our resources to bring more economic prosperity to San Clemente residents and businesses. I am very aware of the dire need for sand replishment and I've attended meetings and seminars regarding this issue. Lastly, I am involved with non-profit organizations who use the beaches and parks weekly to serve underserved kids.
6. Please explain any expertise that you may have in the area of ocean water quality and/or beach environmental stewardship.
For the past decade I have regularly been inolved with and supported organizations dedicated to protecting our climate, beaches and ocean. Some of these organizations include San Clemente Boardriders, Surfrider Foundation, Urban Surf 4 Kids, Surfer's Healing and Mauli Ola Foundation. I also engage with SONGS to ensure they meet their responsibilities and requirements for the decommissioning process. Whether surfing, stand up paddle boarding, or swimming, I track water quality and I'm in the ocean almost every day.

Please explain any experience that you have in community, governmental, charitable or educational affairs.
I am founder of Together As One, a non-profit organization based in San Clemente who serves children affected by autism. In addition to five annual trips to Hawaii and seven annual trips Knott's Berry Farm so far, our weekly and monthly focus for the past eight years includes free surf lessons and sports activities for kids right here in San Clemente.
I am also a two time San Clemente City Council Candidate, regularly attend city council meetings, and frequent events and meetings with elected officials. I love supporting Pier Pride.
The Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the second Tuesday in February, Apri l, June, August, October and December at 6:00 p m. Please explain any challenges, if any, you may have in meeting this commitment.
I will commit to all obligations to fill this seat.
10. Please describe your views on the quality of City beaches and parks, including any steps you feel should be taken for improvement.
The City staff and Council do an excellent job maintaining and preserving our beaches and parks. My goal is to help them do an even better job by supporting more sand replinishment and finding new funding and grants for it. I regularly attend local events for County, State, and Federal officials and I will continue to advocate for more resources and funding to be allocated to preserving San Clemente's parks and beaches.
