RESOLUTION NO. 23-56
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH LYFT AND BUTTERFLI TO PROVIDE SCRIDES SERVICES WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue providing SCRides on-demand transportation services to help mitigate the loss of former local bus routes 191 and 193; and WHEREAS, the City has contracted for professional on-demand transportation services under a professional services agreements and related Amendments No. 1 to those agreements, with Lyft and Butterfli; and WHEREAS, the professional on-demand transportation services under Amendment No. 1 with Lyft and Butterfli expire on June 30, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute an Amendment No. 2 to the Rideshare Beta Test Program Agreement with Lyft to extend the SC Rides Program for an additional year through June 30, 2024 in a form substantially similar as that attached as Exhibit A to this resolution, which is incorporated by this reference.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute an Amendment No. 2 to the Rideshare Beta Test Program Agreement with Butterfli to extend the SC Rides Program for an additional year through June 30, 2024 in a form substantially similar as that attached as Exhibit A to this resolution, which is incorporated by this reference.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
