RESOLUTION NO. 23-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CABCO YELLOW INC. TO PROVIDE SENIOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES WHEREAS, the City operates and wishes to continue providing the Senior Mobility Program, which provide senior transportation services to help fill the gap between local fixed-route buses and ADA paratransit; and WHEREAS, the City has contracted for professional senior transportation services under a professional services agreement and related First Amendment to that agreement with Cabco Yellow Inc.; and WHEREAS, the current agreement for professional on-demand transportation services with Cabco Yellow Inc. expires on August 21, 2023; and WHEREAS, on July 20, 2023, the City released a request for proposals for the Senior Mobility Program and received no responses; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City and the public to extend the agreement with Cabco Yellow Inc. on a month-to-month basis while the City issues a new request for proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute an Second Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement for Senior Mobility Program with Cabco Yellow Inc. to extend services on a month-to-month basis for up to an additional year through August 21, 2024 in a form substantially similar to that attached as Exhibit A to this resolution, which is incorporated herein fully by this reference.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
