RESOLUTION NO. 23-105
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO SUMMIT ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP, INC. FOR CONTRACT COASTAL ADMINISTRATOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT FOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $165,000 ANNUALLY WHEREAS, the City Council approved the creation of a Coastal Administrator position to administer activities related to sand replenishment, coastal resiliency planning, and to support the City’s efforts protecting coastal resources; and WHEREAS, City staff solicited proposals and conducted interviews for the position and found Summit Environmental Group, Inc. to be the most qualified to perform the services of the City’s Contract Coastal Administrator, which will include coordinating coastal planning, management, projects and programs, sand replenishment and retention duties, and related environmental review and permitting activities for the City; and WHEREAS, Summit Environmental Group, Inc.’s proposed rates are fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
Section 2. That the professional services agreement for contract Coastal Administrator Services is awarded to Summit Environmental Group, Inc.
Section 3. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Summit Environmental Group, Inc. for a term of three years in an amount not to exceed $165,000 annually in a form substantially similar to that present to City Council on October 3, 2023.
Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
