RESOLUTION NO. 23-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING BID IT-039 FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE PURE STORAGE FLASH ARRAY SYSTEM TO EPLUS TECHNOLOGY, INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $183,062 FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM WHEREAS, the City wishes to provide a secure and reliable platform for the City’s data and technology systems and implementing the Pure Storage Flash Array is the best way to do that; and WHEREAS, the City has conducted formal competitive bidding for the purchase of the Pure Storage Flash Array; and WHEREAS, November 20, 2023, the City received two bids ranging from $180,217.18 to $183,061.83 for the Pure Storage Flash Array system; and WHEREAS, the bid submitted by vCloud Tech, Inc. in the amount of $180,217.18 was non-responsive and was withdrawn by vCloud Tech, Inc.; and WHEREAS, ePlus Technology, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid in the amount of $183,061.83.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That Bid IT-039 for the Pure Storage Flash Array is awarded to ePlus Technology, Inc.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the purchase of the Pure Storage Flash Array System from ePlus Technology, Inc. under terms and conditions substantially similar to NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement 23020, or on terms and conditions more favorable to the City, in an amount not to exceed $183,061.83, which includes the equipment and software purchase, training, service, maintenance, and support for a three year term.
SECTION 4. That City staff is authorized to accept the Pure Storage End User Agreement.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
