RESOLUTION NO. 24-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING REVISED SALARY SCHEDULE AND NEW CLASSIFICATIONS AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 23-157 AND ANY OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH WHEREAS, Section 37206 of the Government Code requires the City Council to prescribe the time and method of paying salaries and wages of officers and employees of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under the provisions of its adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations to prepare the compensation schedules covering all classes of positions in the competitive service; and WHEREAS, a review of the operational needs and required staffing within the City Manager’s office has been undertaken; and WHEREAS, certain changes to benefited classifications are recommended and the City Council desires to implement those changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Resolution No. 23-157 is hereby amended to make the following classification changes:
Create the classification of Administrative Services Director at range 86, designate the position as a Department Head, and approve the job description as presented to the City Council on February 20, 2024.
Reclassify the Executive Assistant (1FTE) to Executive Analyst (1 FTE) at range 55 and approve the job description as presented to the City Council on February 20, 2024.
Retitle the Public Information Officer classification to Public Information Coordinator at range 55, designate the position as confidential, and approve the job description as presented to the City Council on February 20, 2024.
Section 3. The amended and restated Benefited Employees salary schedule presented to the City Council on February 20, 2024 is hereby approved effective February 21, 2024.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
