RESOLUTION NO. 24-35
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND FILING NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE AQUATIC CENTER MAIN POOL REPLASTER, PROJECT NO. 12808 WHEREAS, on November 7, 2023, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Condor, Inc. for the Aquatic Center Main Pool Replaster, CIP Project No. 12808; and WHEREAS, the main pool located at the Aquatics Center at the Vista Hermosa Sports Park was in need of replastering as well as other various improvements to extend its lifespan and improve the experience for pool goers; and WHEREAS, the work consisted of the removal and replacement of the existing plaster, the installation of new underwater LED lighting, the recommissioning of the pool with balanced chemicals, the waterproofing of various surfaces, gutters, surge tank, the replacement of the main drains and the installation of a new ADA lift; and WHEREAS, as a result of the repair work, the pool has been restored and opened for its resumed enjoyment by the public and the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That the Aquatic Center Main Pool Replaster, Project No. 12808, is hereby accepted from Condor, Inc.
SECTION 3. That the Public Works Director/City Engineer is authorized and directed to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Aquatic Center Main Pool Replaster, Project No. 12808.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to release the Payment Bond 35 days from the recordation of the Notice of Completion upon verification with the Engineering Division that no liens have been levied against the Contractor, Condor, Inc.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
