On behalf of the San Clemente Ocean Festival, please accept this nomination for Beth Apodaca to be recognized on the 2023 Wall of Recognition.
Beth has lived here over 20 years and currently lives at She has served as a committee member and volunteer for Heart Chase, Cabrillo Playhouse, assisted both Rotary Clubs and Kiwanis Club with fundraising activities/events, assisted with 5th Marine events (through Chamber), served on SCHS Grad Nite committee, served as officer and President of Our Savior Lutheran Church PTA. She is a member of Elks Club, San Clemente Dons, Beta Sigma Phi (for fundraising purposes), Sand Dollars (fundraising arm for Ocean Institute). She was the first woman to serve on the Exchange Club board and soon to be the first woman President in 2023. She has received the Chamber's 2011 Volunteer of the Year award, has served on the Ambassador Council, and served as Master of Ceremonies at events such as Sunset Networking Mixers in addition to volunteering time at Chamber membership drives and special events. Beth has worked as an Associate, Director and volunteer selling Pancake Tickets, t-shirts and assisting where needed from the early 90’s. She volunteered with the Sand Sculpting team and is now Sand Sculpting Contest Coordinator.
She has organized, volunteered, and assisted with major fundraising activities directly benefitting our youth, seniors and families through the many organizations she has been affiliated with in San Clemente throughout the years.
Beth has also raised the bar as the Director for the Dorothy Visser Senior Center by providing a safe, fun and welcoming atmosphere filled with services, educational programs, entertainment and activities for our seniors to enjoy. She makes a point to celebrate and recognize individuals celebrating special moments in their lives ie: 100th birthdays! We hope you consider this recommendation for Beth Apodaca to be considered for the Wall of Recognition.
