Subject: Modifications at the El Camino Real/Esplanade intersection Dear City Council Members,
I am in full support of the removal of the existing traffic delineators and the installment of a left turn pocket at El Camino Real and Esplanade.

As a long-time resident of Barcelona, the traffic dramatically increased when the delineators were installed. We have been treated VERY unfairly
by having additional traffic diverted onto our street. We already have a traffic signal and a sign that guides cars to the beach. We have waited three and
a half years with a petition with over 90% of our resident's signatures to get this problem before you.

Thanking all of you in advance in hopes you make a positive decision on our behalf.

Subject: Removal of cones on Esplande
Dear Traffic Engineer of San Clemente,
Recently we requested that the cones on esplanade be removed. I am a resident on Barcelona, and as you probably already know with the closure of turning left on esplanade has made traffic outrageous on Barcelona. We never get a break from cars speeding, honking, rushing and there is always a steady flow.

I would ask that the city open up options with beach signs directing traffic down Esplanade to help the residents of our street receive so sort of a break. It seems unfair that we get yelled at, honked at when pulling out or into our driveways.

Please help the residents of Barcelona, with other options for tourists and visitors going to and from the beaches down other streets.

Thank you for your continued help in this matter.

Hi Traffic Engineering,
I'm a resident on Avenida Barcelona for over 28 years. I am writing to you about the El Camino Real delineators and I fully support the removal of these things.

The amount of traffic on Barcelona has increased significantly over the past years since they were installed. Young families on this particular street and neighborhood are constantly waving (and yelling) for people to slow down— the speed bumps have helped and serves as part of the solution. Eliminating the delineators would help tremendously.

In my opinion, the delineators do not warrant significance over the amount of traffic on the major thorough fare of Barcelona.

I just wanted to give you my two cents on support of the removal of the delineators on El Camino Real.

Two cents can add up!!!
Thank you for your support with this.

They are doing what the purpose was designed to do - in fact, I’ve seen many cars leave the Ralph’s parking lot and drive against traffic in the wrong direction to avoid going to the signal. >

Subject: Delineators on El Camino Real at blocking Esplanade Dear City Council,
I have been a resident of Avenida Barcelona for over 50 years. I’ve seen many changes in San Clemente over this time.

The traffic on our residential neighborhood is absolutely horrendous since the delineators were installed. Just backing out of my driveway is dangerous as there are so many cars going up and down the street and MANY cars are over the speed limit (even with the speed humps installed).

The delineators added an exorbitant amount of traffic to Avenida Barcelona.

Please help us find a solution to an unfair and dangerous situation.

My Grandchildren live on this block as do many other children and elderly.

We need your consideration and solution.

Respectfully,
Dawn Bonus

I am writing in favor of the removal of the traffic delineators on El Camino Real to be replaced with a left-turn pocket at El Camino Real and Esplanade.

The traffic on Barcelona is beyond out of control. The latest traffic count was 2000 cars per day. The recent installation of "speed bumps" has done
nothing to improve the volume of traffic and slow cars down.

I would like you to imagine sitting on your front porch trying to relax and having relentless traffic spewing exhaust fumes and noise from "2000" cars
flying over the speed bumps. You can only imagine the frustration the residents are feeling. Not to mention the decrease in property value created
by this situation.

I seriously doubt that any of you would vote to create this situation in your neighborhoods.

Thank you for your service to the City of San Clemente, and I appreciate your time in reading this email.

Wow… the perfect solution. “Traffic Circle“ (round about). The removal of the delineators on S. El Camino Real. Win Win.

The citizens who were not able to turn left on to El Camino Real from Esplanade or go straight into the Ralph’s parking lot now can. Win Win.

The ability to turn left from north bound El Camino Real onto Esplanade. Win Win.

The reduction of up to 1000 cars on Avenida Barcelona. Win Win.

The reduction of vehicles speeding south bound on El Camino Real from the signal at Avenida Barcelona. Win Win.

The ability for citizens to turn left from south bound El Camino Real into the Ralph’s parking lot. Win Win.

The ability for civilians to safely travel left, right or straight leaving the Ralph’s parking lot towards Esplanade. Win Win.

The ability for businesses on Esplanade or El Camino Real to keep their street parking. Win Win The recognition of our council members to solve a huge problem with awesome results. Win Win.
