CURRENT FINANCIAL CONDITION
In FY 2023-24, the City’s adopted General Fund budget
included a positive operating position of $153,000. After budget adjustments, the current operating position is
$43,000. At the end of the second quarter, expenditures exceed revenues due to the timing of property and sales tax receipts. Revenues and expenditures are within
budgetary expectations for this time of the year.

GENERAL FUND
General Fund revenues through the second quarter total
$34.0 million, or 38% of the $89.2 million annual budget.

General Fund revenue is higher than prior year by
$449,110 due to increases in Property taxes and interest.

General Fund expenditures total $41.3 million for the
second quarter, or 41% of the $100.7 million annual
budget, as compared to $39.8 million at this time last
year. In total, expenditures ended the quarter $1.5
million more than the prior year due to salaries and
benefits, supplies, contractual services and capital
outlay, while interfund transfers and debt decreased due to one time pension costs and transfers in the prior year.

Additional information on General Fund revenues and
expenditures are discussed further in this report.
