RESOLUTION NO. 24-92
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR POLICE SERVICES FOR FY 2024-25 WHEREAS, the City Council held a public budget workshop on May 21, 2024 and discussed police service levels for the FY 2024-25 agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed 2024-25 fiscal year budget on June 4, 2024; and WHEREAS, on June 4, 2024, the City Council adopted the FY 2024-25 budget, which included funding for the police services agreement; and WHEREAS, entering into a contract with the County of Orange for police services for FY 2024-25 is in the public’s interest and is necessary for public safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute a contract between the City of San Clemente and the County of Orange, for a total contract maximum obligation of $21,686,924 in substantially the same form presented to City Council on June 18, 2024.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
