RESOLUTION NO. 24-128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A REVISED SALARY SCHEDULE WHICH INCLUDES IMPLEMENTATION OF EXECUTIVE LEVEL SALARY INCREASES AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 24-94 AND ANY OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH WHEREAS, Section 37206 of the Government Code requires the City Council to prescribe the time and method of paying salaries and wages of officers and employees of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under the provisions of its adopted Personnel Rules and Regulations to prepare the compensation schedules covering all classes of positions in the competitive service; and WHEREAS, the City has compiled the salary schedule to comply with California Public Employers’ Retirement System (CalPERS) requirements for Publicly Available Pay Schedules; and WHEREAS, the City has completed negotiations with the San Clemente City Employees Association and wishes to adopt a revised salary schedule for City of San Clemente full-time benefited employees; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 54953(c)(1), on August 20, 2024, during its regular open meeting and prior to taking final action, the City Council orally reported a summary of the recommendation for a final action on the salaries, salary schedules and compensation to be paid in the form of fringe benefits to local agency executives.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated fully herein.
Section 2. The amended and restated Benefited Employees Salary Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A and fully incorporated herein by this reference is hereby approved effective September 2, 2024.
Section 3. Any resolutions in conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby amended to be consistent with the provisions hereof.
Section 4. City staff is authorized and directed to take such other and further actions and execute such additional documents as may be necessary and proper to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into book of original resolutions.
