MINUTES OF THE GOLF COURSE
COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING
CALIFORND THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2024, 6:00 P.M.
A Special Meeting of the Golf Course Committee of the City of San Clemente was called to order by Chair Divel on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, located at 910 Calle Negocio, 2nd Floor, San Clemente, CA. Committee Member Page led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENT Chair Rick Divel, Vice Chair Mandy Hamilton, Ben Page, Marc Veale, Robert Zumberge
ABSENT None
STAFF PRESENT Samantha Wylie, Beaches, Parks and Recreation Director Debbie Fields, Administrative Assistant
OLD BUSINESS
A. Development of Golf Course Committee Work Plan for FY 2024-2025 A report was given by. Samantha Wylie, Beaches, Parks & Recreation Director, discussing the Work Plan Items.
Committee members either individually or in agreement commented on the following items that should be included in the Golf Course Committee Work Plan for FY 2024-2025.
1. Golf Course Master Plan Update.
2. Provide input on the priority projects to be accomplished in the upcoming fiscal year.
3. Develop an amenity donation program for the golf course to replace benches.
4. Urgent needs of the golf course.
5. Re-establish House, Greens, and Finance Subcommittees.
Committee member Veale suggested that the cart path repairs should be a standing item at each Golf Course Committee meeting, under items from committee members.
Committee members agreed that there should be a standing item to review urgent needs of the course on all future regular meetings of the Golf Course Committee; and that staff should prepare a monthly newsletter to be distributed to golfers that provides upcoming details on projects and other items pertinent golf course items.
Motion by Committee Member Page, seconded by Vice Chair Hamilton, CARRIED 5-0 to accept the 5 items as the FY 2024-2025 Work Plan.

B. Future Golf Course Committee Meeting Times
Committee members either individually or in agreement commented on possibly changing the Golf Course Committee meeting times.
Motion by Committee Member Veale, seconded by Committee Member Zumberge, CARRIED 5-0 to keep the Golf Course Committee Regular Meeting times at 6:00 p.m.

2. ADJOURNMENT
There being no other business before the Golf Course Committee, CHAIR DIVEL ADJOURNED at 6:22 p.m. to a regular meeting to be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, located at 910 Calle Negocio, 2º Floor, San Clemente, CA Date: 11/15/24
