RESOLUTION NO. 25-112
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND HONORING THE 2025 WALL OF RECOGNITION NOMINEES WHEREAS, in 1994, the City Council approved the establishment of the “Wall of Recognition” (“WOR”) designed to honor individuals who have dedicated their time to improving the quality of life for the residents and visitors of San Clemente; and WHEREAS, the program is guided by Policy No. 103-2-1; and WHEREAS, per policy, nominations are open annually for a pre-determined period, allowing for local service organizations and groups of community members, alike, to submit citizen nominations; and WHEREAS, the WOR Committee, comprised of a representative from the City Council, Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission, and past recipients of this prestigious award submitted their ballots and subsequently met on April 22, 2025, to review the nominations and provide a recommendation for a new recipient; and WHEREAS, at its selection meeting, the WOR Committee unanimously agreed to recommend Ed Kweskin as the 2025 Wall of Recognition honorees based on his commitment to serving the city and community in a variety of ways, acting in many capacities including commissioner, volunteer, and a board member in many cases.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the foregoing recitals shall be and are hereby fully incorporated into this Section 1 as if said recitals were fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. That Ed Kweskin is hereby selected as the 2025 Wall of Recognition honoree.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to present Mr. Kweskin with a certificate of recognition as the 2025 Wall of Recognition honoree.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
