RESOLUTION NO. 25-132
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A FEE WAIVER FOR THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS TO USE THE SAN CLEMENTE COMMUNITY CENTER AND SAN CLEMENTE AQUATICS CENTER AS VOTE CENTER LOCATIONS FOR THE NOVEMBER 4, 2025 STATEWIDE SPECIAL ELECTION WHEREAS, a Special Statewide Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 12283 and 12284 of the Election Code, the Orange County Registrar of Voters is requesting space at the Community Center and the San Clemente Aquatics Centers to use as a vote center during the 2025 Special Election; and WHEREAS, the San Clemente Community Center - Fireside Meeting Room will serve as an 11-day vote center, with 1 day before the commencement of the election and 1 day after the conclusion of the election used for set up and break down – from Thursday, October 23, 2025 through Wednesday, November 5, 2025; and WHEREAS, the San Clemente Aquatics Center – Friends Meeting Room will serve as a 4-day vote center, with 1 day before the commencement of the election and 1 day after the conclusion of the election used for set up and break down – from Friday, October 31, 2025 through Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 12283 and 12284 of the Election Code, the City Council of the City of San Clemente hereby waives the facility rental fee for the Registrar of Voters to use the San Clemente Community Center and San Clemente Aquatics Center as vote center locations for the November 4, 2025 Special Statewide Election.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
