Attachment 3
If cost recovery is a legitimate concern, a more balanced approach would be to implement modest, gradual increases that reflect inflation and maintenance costs since 2019. For example, incremental adjustments over the past five years would have more fairly distributed the financial impact while still working toward fiscal responsibility. Such a strategy would avoid the shock of a sudden 150% fee hike and demonstrate the City’s commitment to both sustainability and fairness.
I urge the City Council to reject the proposed fee schedule and the repeal of Resolution No. 19-30 in its current form. Instead, I encourage consideration of a phased, communityconscious approach that balances the City’s fiscal needs with the values of accessibility, environmental stewardship, and public service.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your continued service to our community.
Kind Regards,
