RESOLUTION NO. 25-160
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE BONITO CANYON PARK PLAYGROUND SHADE STRUCTURE, CIP PROJECT NO. 15105, AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A NOTICE OF COMPLETION WHEREAS, the City of San Clemente authorized the procurement and installation of shade structures at Bonito Canyon Park Playground in accordance with the City’s Purchasing & Procurement Policy; and WHEREAS, Landscape Structures, Inc., with subcontractor TotLot Pros, has completed the installation of the shade structures to the City’s satisfaction; and WHEREAS, City staff conducted the final inspection of the project on September 5, 2025, and determined that all work has been satisfactorily completed; and WHEREAS, the total cost of the project was $45,765 and was fully funded through the Community Development Block Grant, with no additional appropriation necessary; and WHEREAS, the improvements enhance the recreational experience for the community and reflect the City’s commitment to providing high-quality public amenities.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby accepts the Bonito Canyon Park Playground Shade Structure, CIP Project No. 15105, from Landscape Structures, Inc.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and record the Notice of Completion for said project.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is further authorized to release the payment bond 35 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion, provided no liens have been filed against the contractor, and subject to verification by the Engineering Division.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is further authorized to release the performance bond.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
