RESOLUTION NO. 25-190
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SELECTION OF LANA J. DOYLE AS THE 2025 WALL OF RECOGNITION HONOREE AND DIRECTING HER INDUCTION INTO THE CITY’S WALL OF RECOGNITION WHEREAS, in 1994, the City Council adopted Policy No. 103-2-1 establishing the City of San Clemente Wall of Recognition to honor individuals whose significant contributions and selfless efforts have improved the quality of life for residents and visitors of the City of San Clemente; and WHEREAS, the Wall of Recognition serves to publicly acknowledge individuals nominated by residents and community-based organizations for exemplary service, leadership, and dedication to the San Clemente community; and WHEREAS, the Wall of Recognition Committee has reconsidered and completed its review of submitted nominations for the 2025 Wall of Recognition honoree; and WHEREAS, the San Clemente Garden Club submitted a nomination for Lana J. Doyle, an 18-year resident and Life Member of the California Garden Clubs, Inc. (C.G.C.I.), whose name is inscribed on the C.G.C.I. Life Membership Roll; and WHEREAS, Ms. Doyle has contributed to the San Clemente community through longstanding volunteer service with the Armed Services YMCA, Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, Cabrillo Playhouse, the Dorothy Visser Senior Center, and the San Clemente Garden Club; and WHEREAS, the Wall of Recognition Committee recommends that Lana J. Doyle be selected as the 2025 Wall of Recognition Honoree based on her sustained and meaningful service to San Clemente.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby finds, determines and resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines that all of the foregoing recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as findings of the City Council.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the selection of Lana J. Doyle as the 2025 Wall of Recognition Honoree.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is authorized to present a certificate of recognition to the honoree and to participate in her formal induction into the Wall of Recognition located at the San Clemente Community Center.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
