Subject: Save Cars & Coffee
You know in these times where the Constitution is constantly be trampled by government and the elite closing Cars and Coffee would be just another example of such a lack of concern for the overall general public and enthusiast. Cars & Coffee is a statement on the car culture of Southern California where it was born. I have been going to Cars & Coffee for decades as an observer or participant. I know there are a few who don’t follow the rules and to the best of the organizers capabilities when the rule breakers are detected they are forbidden from returning. Rule breakers are also ticketed as they enter the public streets as demonstrated by the history of violation citing’s, etc. I also know the organizers work extremely hard with the Outlet management and merchants, the local police, and others to maintain a well-organized and safe environment for the general public and those displaying their cars. Having the event once a week for approximately two- and one-half hours is not an unreasonable time frame for anyone to live with even the elite. I am sure many of the merchants would not like to see it go away either as I am sure it is a once-a-week uptick for their businesses. In summary, it would be a shame for the city to shut Cars and Coffee down as doing so would only benefit a few whereas keeping it benefits hundreds and pads the coffers of the merchants at the mall.
I request the city to continue to work with the organizers of Cars and Coffee to keep it ongoing and to root out those that break the rules.
Thanks
