Subject: Semi-Annual Review (SAR) Request for Scope Change – Cancellation of Last Mile Program (2024 Call for Projects – On-Demand Transit Programs)
Dear Ms. Charvalen Alacar:
The City thanks OCTA for continued support regarding the 2024 Call for Projects – On-Demand Transit Programs.
After careful consideration, we are requesting a scope change to cancel the Last Mile portion of our project through the Semi-Annual Review (SAR) March 2026. Specifically, we intend to discontinue the Last Mile Program, as it appears to closely mirror existing services, including SC Rides and the City’s newest transit program administered through CMO. We are concerned that maintaining multiple programs with similar service models may create redundancy and potentially cause confusion for our riders.
