RESOLUTION NO. 26-125
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF DIGITAL KIOSKS AT CITY HALL AND THE COMMUNITY CENTER, AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO NANONATION AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City of San Clemente has a legal obligation to post agendas for its City Council and Commissions and Committees along with other legal notices in compliance with the Brown and Maddy Acts; and WHEREAS, the City has an interest in providing an interactive display that can comply with the legal requirements and provide additional public serving information; and WHEREAS, installation of the digital displays will modernize noticing requirements and accessibility for the public; and WHEREAS, appropriating funds from the Local Cable Infrastructure Machinery and Equipment fund is in the best interest of the City and public; and WHEREAS, staff performed research into the options available and solicited informal proposals, Nanonation is the best option available to meet the City’s needs and its price is fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Clemente does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of forty-eight thousand one hundred and twenty two dollars ($48,122) from the Local Cable Infrastructure Machinery and Equipment Fund, Account No. 018-245-45500-000-00000 to fund two interactive digital displays.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby awards an agreement to Nanonation for the design, hardware, installation and subscription services associated with two digital touchscreens in the amount of $48,122.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute such contract documents as may be necessary and proper to implement the project for the two digital touchscreens consistent with Nanonation’s proposal as presented to the City Council on June 2, 2026 and in an amount not to exceed $48,122, including the authority to execute any electronic software license agreements related thereto. All such contracts shall be in a form that he deems proper and advisable and he is further authorized to take such other and further actions that are necessary and proper to implement the project and accomplish the purpose of this resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk, or designee, is authorized to take all necessary steps to complete the project and expend funds consistent with this resolution.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
