DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is the first-line supervisory classification within the Code Compliance series. Positions at this level are responsible for formal personnel supervision, operational oversight, case quality control, staff development, and implementation of division objectives.

This classification is distinguished from Senior Code Compliance Officer by its broader responsibility for formal supervision, staff performance management, operational deployment, resource coordination, and implementation of division policies and procedures.

This classification is distinguished from Code Compliance Manager by its more limited administrative authority. While the Code Compliance Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations and personnel, the Code Compliance Manager retains broader responsibility for division-wide strategic planning, budget administration, policy development, legislative coordination, and overall program management.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
