The City Council will convene for a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter in City Council Chambers. This Special Council meeting will provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the Special Closed Session agenda in open session prior to the Council convening into Closed Session.
The item to be discussed is the following:
Conference with Legal Counsel – Existing Litigation, pursuant to California Government Code section 54956.9(d)(1):

This case alleges the City’s Solid Waste Management Fee violates Proposition 218. The City Attorney’s Office will update the Mayor and City Council on the status of the litigation and seek direction.
The Council will then reconvene in open session at the conclusion of Closed Session to discuss the following:
