CC-1: Council President LaCava noted in the randomness of life we lost 2 individuals in District 1.
He mentioned the first was in Pacific Beach, where a car thief was in pursuit by the Police Department and seriously injured a woman on the boardwalk. Council President LaCava stated the second was in La Jolla where a person made an illegal turn and collided with another vehicle killing the passenger. He encouraged everyone to hold your loved ones close and be grateful for everyday that you manage to get through.
