STUDY SESSION ITEMS COMMENTS/RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Discussion of Board Commission and It was the consensus of the Council to have Committee Terms Commissioner terms begin six months from the date of the certification and swearing in of
the elected Mayor and Councilmembers,
except for special elections. The Boards
Commissions and Committee Handbook will
be revised to include this language and
brought back to Council for approval.
Council requested an agendized item for
discussion on the composition of the BCC,
specifically whether there should be 5 or 7
commissioners.

CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL Following the closed session, the City COUNSEL-ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Attorney made a public announcement that Initiation of litigation pursuant to Government the City Council met and discussed the Code Section 54956.9(d)(4): One case. closed session item listed on the agenda, and that the City Council, by a unanimous vote,
authorized the City Attorney's Office to initiate
a litigation action. The action, the
defendants, and the other particulars shall,
once the action is formally commenced, be
disclosed to any person upon inquiry.
