SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SAN GABRIEL CITY COUNCIL
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wu called the special meeting of the San Gabriel City Council to order at 11 :53 A.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Mission Playhouse, 320 South Mission Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776.

A. SAN GABRIEL MISSION PLAYHOUSE STRATEGIC VISIONING WORKSHOP Arts Consulting Group facilitated a Strategic Visioning Workshop for the Playhouse to discuss and identify future plans for the Playhouse, its facilities, ongoing governance structure, and its future growth.
There was no public comment.
At City Manager Lazzaretto's invitation, presumptive Council Member-Elect Jorge Herrera Avila joined the discussion.
Discussion included an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within the Mission Playhouse (Playhouse), development of core values and priorities for the Playhouse, and outlining key ways in which work can be done toward accomplishing the priorities within the next two years. The discussions took place within the large group of participants and smaller breakout groups. All discussions within the breakout groups were presented to the broader group in efforts to develop the items listed above.
Direction was not provided by City Council since the primary goal was for the City Council and key stakeholders to provide feedback for the Arts Consulting Group to provide analysis and recommendations for staff review.
