SUBJECT: Certifying Results for November 5, 2024 Election RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 4054 of the City Council of the City of San Jacinto, California, Reciting the Facts of the General Municipal Election Held on November 5, 2024, Declaring the Results and Such Other Matters as Provided by Law.
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4030 to call and give notice of a consolidated general municipal election to be held on November 5, 2024, for the election of three (3) members of the City Council and one (1) member for Treasurers for full four-year terms.
DISCUSSION:
The City of San Jacinto General Municipal Election was conducted on November 5, 2024, by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters for the purposes of electing three City Councilmember positions and one Treasurer position. The Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of the election results on December 3, 2024. The City Council must pass a resolution declaring the results of said election.
Pursuant to the certified election results, the number of votes received by the following candidates were sufficient to declare them elected:
• Crystal Ruiz as Councilmember
• Phil Ayala as Councilmember
• Clarisa A. Sanchez as Councilmember
• Tylisha A. Julienne as Treasurer
Each of the individuals listed above were elected to a full term of four years.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The election was budgeted in the FY 2024-25 budget.
