A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO RULES OF DECORUM POLICY
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes a need to establish rules of decorum that will promote a higher degree of efficiency in the performance of its duties, while ensuring the free exchange of information and public debate at City Council meetings.
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto (“City”) has prepared the City of San Jacinto Rules of Decorum Policy (“Decorum Policy”), attached hereto as Exhibit “A.” WHEREAS, the City desires to adopt the Decorum Policy to promote mutual respect, civility, and orderly conduct among elected and appointed City officials, City staff, and members of the public and to promote and maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct in the City's governance..
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto hereby finds, determines, and resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated into this resolution by this reference.
SECTION 2. The City hereby adopts the City of San Jacinto Rules of Decorum Policy, attached hereto as Exhibit “A.”
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be effective as of the date of adoption. The Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
