4.1. Public Hearing for the Adoption of the 2025 California Building Standards Code and 2025 California Fire Code
Deputy City Manager Travis Randel presented the staff report.
Mayor Vandever opened the Public Hearing at 7:10 p.m. There were no public speakers. Mayor Vandever closed the Public Hearing at 7:11 p.m.

M/S/C (Ruiz/Ledezma) made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 25-08, approving the 2025 California Building Standards Update. Motion carried 5/0.

With no further business before the City Council, Mayor Vandever adjourned the meeting at 7:29 p.m. with a moment of silence in honor of Mark Carnevale, former Mayor of Cathedral City, who passed away on November 16, 2025.
