San Jose City Government members,
What is being proposed by the city of San Jose in this Amending City Charter Section 1602 Election Procedure to: i. Extend municipal voting rights to all residents of the City of San José, is unbelievable and plays directly into the hands of those wishing to destroy our Republic. As a citizen, I resent that all non-citizens who came here, in disrespect of our laws, should then be allowed to vote. Many illegals don’t pay taxes, but the city is willing to allow the burdens of costs from this proposal to be dumped on the few remaining taxpayers? Is the city willing to see more people leave not only the bay area, but also the state? Do you really think non-citizens will pick up their end of the responsibilities of the city by paying taxes or contributing in other positive ways? Why would the city willingly accept such a financial burden on the overall costs, infrastructure, fire, police, medical, and schools?
Following is a letter from a very concerned citizen who became a citizen legally and earned the right to vote in our elections:
I am an immigrant who came here escaping Sharia Law, and it took me 12 years to be able to vote after I got to the US. I'm glad I had to wait. Because when I came here, I had no idea what America was all about. I was forced to study the Constitution to get my Citizenship and boy did I have to relearn everything. Imagine now if even more people who have no idea of what America was founded on, folks who don't have any idea what an inalienable right is, are voting en-masse.
Yes, it's true that there was no test of citizenship years ago. But that was when it took 6 months to go across the country. Times have changed. Whenever we make a law we have to consider: What are the consequences if evil people take advantage of this law (evil people in public and/or evil people in government)?
Here's the real danger, if there is no test of citizenship, then why can't the Chinese Communist Party have 1M temporary "workers" show up in San Jose for the next election, register to a corporate address and vote? And if you don't need citizenship to vote, why do you need to be a citizen to be elected? So, at what point do we end up with CCP members as Mayor and Councilmembers and in control of our city? (I know you think we already have that). It's the beginning of a real slippery slope to losing our nation. If you allow this unfair and dangerous proposal to become reality, then as a citizen of California, I will be sure to investigate every purchase, every business I might do business with, everything to be sure I am not supporting any firm that hires illegals in the future. I will not travel again to San Jose for some of the wonderful things your city has to offer. And I will spread the word to others.
Good points made by this person.
When will government representatives decide to make decisions for their citizens, their constituents? When will government representatives uphold their oaths to protect the Republic of the United States? When?
