You don't often get email from [email protected]. Learn why this is important

Good aernoon,

On behalf of Assemblymember Alex Lee, I am sending this email to submit his comment in support of Item 5.2 Charcot Avenue Extension which is scheduled to be discussed at tomorrow’s (2/1) city council meeng. Please see his comment on this item below. Thank you.

Assemblymember Alex Lee’s comment:
“Today, I’m joining the Orchard School community members and wring to you to express my support for abandoning the Charcot Avenue Extension Project near Orchard School. Community members have for years expressed their concerns about this project and I agree with the memo submied by Mayor Liccardo together with Councilmembers Cohen, Peralez, and Foley, in that the project creates unacceptable environmental, health, and safety risks for the adjacent Orchard School and community.

Its expected impact of increasing Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) area wide is also incompable with state climate plans. I applaud the Council for reconsidering its prior project approval and its willingness to correct an outdated project proposal. Thank you.”

Sincerely,
Anurag
