 Total funding: $63 million
 Focused on maintenance zones “poor
and failed” to maximize cost-effective
treatment
 Approximately 458 miles maintained in
2019-2021 (30% of network)
11 Innovation
Reducing Carbon Footprint
• CO2-injected concrete:
 Reduce 5% carbon footprint
 Cost-neutral
 Local material and production
• About 19,000 ADA ramps to be installed in the
next 10 years:
 130,000 tons of concrete, or
 13,000 tons of CO2 emissions
• DOT’s goals:
 Implemented a pilot project in 2021
 Long-term goal: reduce 650 tons of CO2
emissions in the next 10 years
12 Conclusion
 Investments have yielded results
 Major Streets steady at 76 PCI
 PCI on Local Streets has jumped from 60 to
63 since 2018
 Funding has significantly improved
 Sufficient to properly maintain Major Streets
network in “good” condition
 Goal to ensure all Local & Neighborhood
Streets will be maintained by 2028
 PCI projected to increase to 70
 DOT ready to deliver
 303 miles of street pavement projects in 2022
 Building capacity to plan, procure and deliver
in 2022 and beyond
