RECOMMENDATION
Approve the deferral of the following item from the April 25, 2022 Community and Economic Development (CED) Committee meeting to the June 27, 2022 CED Committee meeting. • Rent Burden and Demographics of Affordable Housing Residents Report. (Housing) Purpose: Provide a report on the rent burden and demographics of residents living in affordable housing developments and an analysis of how much money is required to alleviate the rent burden for households above 50% rent burden in the City’s affordable housing portfolio.
BACKGROUND
Staff requests to defer the Rent Burden and Demographics of Affordable Housing Residents Report from the April 25, 2022 Community and Economic Development (CED) Committee meeting to the June 27, 2022 CED Committee meeting. Staff has determined that there is need for more stakeholder engagement at this time. This would also allow the Department to include the April rent data and analysis in the report.
