Subject: Open Forum Public Comment for Council Meeting on 3/22/22 Hi,
This is public comment for the Open Forum section of the council meeting on 3/22/22.
1. I would like an ordinance to ban gas leaf blowers. Gas leaf blowers cause noise, and air pollution, which negatively affect people's health, especially people who are sensitive.
2. I would also like to see a noise ordinance.
3. I am opposed to the city using nuclear energy/power to generate revenue for the energy sector. Nuclear energy is dangerous, and human error in use of nuclear power plants is inevitable. I believe that nuclear power should never be an option for human consumption.
4. Need more discussion about electrification of buildings in San Jose to meet Smart Climate goals by 2030.
Need electrification without natural gas, need to coordinate better with PG & E, and need more public outreach.
Thanks,
Ann
