RETIREMENT PLAN
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint Dave Wilson as the Police Department Employee Representative to the Board of Administration for the Police and Fire Department Retirement Plan to a term ending November 30, 2025.
OUTCOME

At the close of the nomination period, the Office of the City Clerk received an application from Dave Wilson. There were 89 ballots returned and 88 were submitted in support of Dave Wilson, with one ballot returned blank. Following the employee election, David Wilson was appointed to the Police Employee Seat to fill the remaining term of less than 12 months, commencing August 3, 2021.
On February 15, 2022, the Council approved Ordinance No. 30723, Administrative Amendments to the Boards and Commissions, which in part, reduces the administrative costs of running an employee election for the Police and Fire Retirement Board. Effective April 1, 2022, it allows a candidate recommended by election and appointed by Council to fill a remaining term of less COUNCIL AGENDA: 4/5/2022
