ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE WORK PLAN
RECOMMENDATION
Approve an amendment to the January – June 2022 Community and Economic Development Committee Work Plan to drop the following item from the May 23, 2022 meeting:
work2future Annual Report.
Purpose: Provide an annual report on work2future activities and accomplishments in support of employers and job seekers. (Economic Development and Cultural Affairs)
BACKGROUND
Staff requests to drop the work2future Annual Report from the May 23, 2022 Community and Economic Development (CED) Committee meeting. At the March 28, 2022 CED Committee meeting, staff presented its Re-Employment and Workforce Development Status Report, which included a comprehensive review of work2future’s activities for the last fiscal year through February 2022.
Staff has continued to move forward on the various activities cited in the Re-Employment and Workforce Development Status Report. However, given the small amount of time that has passed since the March 28 CED Committee meeting, the work2future Annual Report would convey the same information already presented to the Committee in the Re-Employment and Workforce Development Status Report. The next work2future Annual Report will be included in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 CED Committee Work Plan.
