Hello there, I am a volunteer with Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense In America, and I support the Privately Made Firearm ordinance which will ban the manufacture, sale, and possession of ghost guns in San Jose. These privately manufactured firearms are readily assembled by untrained amateurs and criminals using common household tools and are untraceable and unregulated, putting them into the community and creating a terrible risk for our citizens. The ease of access to these untraceable weapons contributes to the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our community.
Please ban any firearm frames or receivers so they are illegal within San Jose City limits. It will help to reduce gun violence in our city.
