From Lawrence Townsend

Humanities 101: Jan 17, 1920 – Dec 5, 1933 Prohibition of alcohol consumption.

A parallel to the attempt to prohibit a product out of fear that motivates vast criminal response to provide replacement of desired item of prohibition. In this current case guns and ammunition.

Think about it! Only criminals will be rewarded by any of these laws and puts law abiding citizens at further risk at the hands of violent criminals.
bootlegging
/ˈbo͞otˌleɡiNG/
