A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JOSE SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
ANNUAL RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION
SERVICE CHARGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 -2023
PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 9.10.1202 AND 9.10.1204 OF
THE SAN JOSE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, Section 9.10.1202 of the San José Municipal Code requires the Director of Finance to file a report each year with the City Clerk, at least fifteen (15) days in advance of the last City Council meeting before the City is required to provide the tax assessor with the amount of the Residential Solid Waste Collection Service Charges for the purpose of placing the charges on the Santa Clara County Secured Property Tax Roll; and
WHEREAS, Section 9.10.1204 of the San José Municipal Code requires the City Clerk to cause notice of filing of a report issued by the Director of Finance regarding the 2022- 2023 annual Residential Solid Waste Collection Service Charges on the 2022-2023 Santa Clara County Secured Property Tax Roll and of the time and place of the public hearing thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JOSE THAT:
1. Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers of the City of San José at City Hall, 200 East Santa Clara Street, San José, California or via teleconference should the City Council not meet in-person, is hereby fixed as the time and place for the public hearing to approve the placement of the 2022-2023 annual Residential Solid Waste Collection Service Charges on the 2022-2023 Santa Clara County NVF:EAF:JMD

Secured Property Tax Roll based upon the annual Residential Solid Waste Collection Service Charge report of the Director of Finance.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the filing of the Director’s report and the time and place of the public hearing as stated herein.
