As clerk for the City Council can you forward this request to all of the members of the City Council? It was frustra ng to have the Senate pass a gun safety law and then within 24 hours have the Supreme Court get rid of permits for carrying hidden guns. One small way we could as a City prevent some injuries and deaths from guns is to have a gun buy back program to get guns out of homes and off the street. It would be ideal to have an on going policy that any me someone came across a gun they could have any police sta on buy the gun back. I know some people think that owning a gun protects them, but I believe sta s cally the availability of a gun o en contributes to a serious injury or death. Please consider protec ng all of us innocent residents by elimina ng as many guns as possible from our community.
