Please state why you want to become a member of this Board or Commission including specific objectives which you would work toward as a member.
I was 9 years old and living at the epicenter of the Loma Prieta earthquake when it hit in 1989, and it impacted my entire childhood. I’ve experienced first hand the difference that disaster preparedness and infrastructure - and lack thereof - have on a community and it’s ability to recover quickly and efficiently. In a time of increasing uncertainty due to the effects of climate change and global pandemic, establishing and maintaining appropriate infrastructure is vitally important to our community’s resiliency and economic and social stability. I would be honored to serve on this Commission.
Please state any other information which you feel would be useful in reviewing your application
I began my legal career in large-scale construction litigation and am intimately familiar with the impact and cost analysis of infrastructure failure. I’ve spent fifteen years in corporate law, the last ten years as Assistant General Council at Deloitte. I have deep experience in business and finance, including strategy and risk analysis.

(Optional) Please upload a resume.
Please describe your experience in serving on a Commission or Board.
Participated as voting member in regularly scheduled monthly meetings, reporting and advising in depth on financial solvency and risk- and liability- related issues.
Considering your experience and activities in business, labor, School, professional, social,
Commissions, Boards, or other organizations, indicate the experience, training, knowledge and/or skills which qualify you for appointment to the selected commission(s).
I’ve been a business attorney for 15 years, and have served as Assistant General Council at the world’s largest professional and financial services firm for the last decade. I assess, analyze, and advise on all aspects of existing, potential, and exiting relationships with clients and strategic relationships, as well as internal initiatives, including financial, regulatory, and reputational matters.
What is your understanding of the purpose of the Commission? To oversee the finance of the cost of land or improvement of land for projects that will upgrade public safety facilities to improve emergency and disaster response, repair deteriorating bridges vulnerable to earthquakes, repave streets and potholes in the worst condition, prevent flooding and water contamination including the acquisition of land in the Coyote Valley for these purposes, and repair critical infrastructure.
Please list three issues facing the City that you feel the Commission should address.
In light of the severe impact of the Coyote Creek flooding and existential threat of climate change, three issues include storm water retention, storm water infrastructure, and storm drain improvements.
Anything else you would like us to know?
I would be honored to serve on the Commission supporting these vitally important improvements.
