Subject: Tell the CEC to keep Coyote Valley free of industrial projects You don't often get email from . Learn why this is important Dear Mayor Liccardo and Councilmembers,
As a San Jose resident and member of Mothers Out Front, I urge you to advocate vigorously with the California Energy Commission to respect San Jose’s leadership in protecting Coyote Valley and deny the request of developers proposing to build power storage facilities in this vital open space.

If the CEC were to approve the developers’ request, it would undermine the decision that you made—with popular support from your constituents—to protect Coyote Valley as open space for flood protection, climate resilience, wildlife habitat, and farmland.

I ask you to fight to keep the promise you made last November to preserve Coyote Valley as a protected place for open space and agriculture. Please don’t let them use the Energy Public Record: 3
